Welcome to the Breckinridge County Area Technology Center!
It is a privilege to serve as principal of the BCATC. I look forward to my second year here at the BCATC for the 2019-2020 academic year!
On a personal note, I am lucky enough to call Breckinridge County “home” with my husband. We have one son, Larson, and three energetic dogs that keep us busy. Before assuming the principal role here at the BCATC in 2018, I taught language arts for six years at Breckinridge County Middle School. I love being in the field of education and cannot imagine doing anything else!

In today’s world it is essential that students graduate high school equipped with skills that enable them to succeed in a both a competitive working environment and/or academic arena. The BCATC is fortunate enough to work closely with the schools in Breckinridge County to ensure that the individual needs and future goals of all students are met through the courses and pathways offered.
Currently, there are a total of six pathways available for students: Automotive Technology, Business Education, Computerized Manufacturing and Machining, Health Sciences, Information Technology, and Welding Technology. We are also very excited to be in the middle of construction as we expand and renovate to create a pathway for Industrial Maintenance as well as a new CMM and welding areas. Lastly, the automotive students will enjoy a brand new classroom and tool area in the fall of 2019.
If you have any questions or would like to receive more information about what the BCATC offers, please do not hesitate to contact the school. It is only through the support of community members and invested families that we can maximize the chances of success for all students.
Looking forward to a great year!
